Maslowska:
Paw Krolowej

Book design for Dorota Maslowska's second novel Paw królowej (The Queen's Peacock). Her work is described as largely controversial, mostly because of the language seen as vulgar, cynical and simple, but also praised by many intellectuals as innovative and fresh.

Corresponding with the books language and plot was the choice to use one of the most ordinary fonts – Arial, combined with the inserts inspired by typopolo, 'an aesthetic phenomenon of the amateur designs of advertisements, signboards or informative inscriptions made for small businesses, typical for the Polish public sphere of the 1990s'.
